Latino artist, John Acosta has been a freelance artist and art mentor for the past 30 years. He is a past recipient of the St. Paul Companies Leadership in Neighborhoods (LIN) Grant and has been recognized by the State of Minnesota and several community and arts organizations, for his accomplishments as an artist/mentor.
I have two passions as an artist. First there's the artist who loves to create art. Art that tells stories with a positive message, educates, inspires, and motivates others. Then there's the artist who loves to teach art to people of all ages and cultures. Using art, I'm able to teach others about creativity, imagination, problem solving, and how to express themselves in a positive way. My strengths are my ability to relate to people and inspire others.
