School Presentations
Grades K - 6

30-minute presentation -
Will begin by talking to students and then give a slide presentation. At end of the slide presentation, I will tell a story from one of my paintings.
What I will talk about:

I. Line, shapes, color, and texture. (Visual)

A. Will discuss how the above relate to art and how an artist will use them to create their art form.

B. In slide presentation, I will point out where line, shapes, color, and texture are used.

II. Imagination, self-expression, creativity, problem solving, experimentation, and story telling. (Mental)

A. Will discuss how an artist uses the above to help create their art form.

B. In slide presentation, I will point out how the above are used.

60-minute presentation - Same as above but will include a story in the beginning and at the end of presentation, students will be able to see and touch art work that I created. It will include paintings, mosaics made of beans and rocks, masks, stain glass painting, ink drawing, and clay work.

45-minute presentation - Will begin by talking to students about the elements of art: Imagination, Self-expression, Creativity, Problem solving, Experimentation, and Story telling. I will then give a slide presentation. After the slide presentation, I will read a story I wrote, "The Day I Found My Dream". Then the students will choose any part of story and illustrate it. This is an exercise in which students use their listening skills and ability to remember what they’ve heard.

These presentations can be given to all classes in school.
